Okapi
This is an Okapi, they belong to the giraffe family I believe. They're winning the fashion stakes, aren't they? Sorry Zebras, you're just too much.

Transform
For this months' Transform I was inspired by the Mustard Seed Parable in Mark 4:30-34. We made the birds that come to the tree to build their nests out of small balloons and craft supplies I had lying around in my cellar. I thought everyone who made a bird did spectacularly, and loved seeing the different ways people created them - I had tremendous trouble trying to make the beak of mine look good, other people fared better. It was great seeing them all together in a colourful collection. I think it reflects well how although we are all different, we are all welcome in God's Kingdom.

Musk Ox
My new animal crush. When I saw them on Nigel Marvin's Whale Adventure (yes, I was watching for the whales) my first thought was 'that would make an amazing rug!' Not because I actually want to make one into a rug (well, not very much), but because they just look so... so... snuggly. Their hair can grow up to 60 cm long, the longest of any land animal. Don't they just have the best noses? And of course, I like anything with horns. Yes. Yes it was love at first sight really.
